How are things at Camozzi Automation Ltd following lockdown?

Like all business, Camozzi Automation Ltd have faced challenges, but everyone has adapted brilliantly, from those working at home, to those in the stores who have work tirelessly throughout, to ensure our products are dispatched on time. I can’t thank everyone enough for their support and commitment.

We are gradually getting everyone back in the office, paying close attention to the latest government guidelines. We have the internal sales team operating from two office bubbles.

It’s really starting to feel like we are getting back to normal, and it's great to see everyone in person and doing what we do best; providing quality manufactured solutions at the highest customer service level.

What's the primary focus right now for Camozzi Automation Ltd?

The current situation has given us the opportunity to look at ourselves introspectively - at what we do, how we engage with customers, what we are good at, areas of improvement - and allowed us to make the necessary investments in time and resources to implement change.

We have been reaching out using many different media formats, video platforms and social media, which has enabled us to keep customers informed and updated.

Even in a post Covid world, the lean towards the digitalization of industrial processes will be a lasting influence, (Incidentally Camozzi Automation will be holding a Webinar on this subject on the 7th October) so we need to ensure we are fully prepared.

What about product development?

On a product level we have seen huge investment in extending our core ranges, particularly fittings and air prep, with many more product developments in the pipeline, both core & non-core.

On the solutions side of the business, our workshop has never been busier designing and commissioning bespoke control panels, systems and special assemblies.

A key division for Camozzi Automation is Life Science. This, for obvious reasons has been a major focus, specifically on the ventilator and Oxy generator sector. During the course of 2020, Camozzi Automation, in partnership with its subsidiaries and other market leaders have secured some major contracts worldwide.

How do you see the industrial landscape moving forward into 2021 and beyond?

We are hoping that we can resume normal working activities as soon as possible, customer visit requests certainly seem to be moving in the right direction. We do however, recognise we need to adapt to the ever-changing market environment, and accept face to face contact is not always feasible. In those circumstances we need to provide customers with access to information and visibility. For example: We have been running a very popular two-day training course, which we are in the process of making available online.

We will also be rolling out a series of E-Learning modules, to coincide with all new and some existing product lines.

Acknowledging the changes in purchasing and offering different purchasing channels.

Customers may have noticed we have recently updated our website and online store. It is now much easier to navigate with a dashboard layout, and features such as repeat purchase shopping cart, add on product pop up, cross reference tools and many more useful functions. As a result, it’s never been easier to access our product range.

Finally… Thank you

I am very aware the constraints of lockdown have restricted everyone's movements, and therefore our ability to visit customers, a part of the job I find the most enjoyable.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you to all our valued customers for their continued business and support. I’d also like to extend my gratitude to our colleagues and production in Italy, who have remained open throughout the lockdown period and worked resolutely to ensure that we have been able to supply our customers with minimal disruption.
